This meeting brings together researchers interested in cancer and metabolism, fostering dynamic discussions among participants about original and intriguing research presented at a level unmatched by any other conference. So far, the conference has been held in various regions of Japan, from Hokkaido in the north to Amami Oshima in the south, most recently in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture (Dogo Onsen) in 2023, and in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture (Beppu Onsen) in 2024. This time, the Annual Meeting will take place in Kusatsu Onsen, Gunma Prefecture, from May 28 (Wed.) to 30 (Fri.), 2025, at “Takamatsu Hotel of Joy” in Kusatsu Onsen. In addition to sessions on “Cancer and Glucose Metabolism,” “Epigenome, Nucleic Acid Modification and Metabolism,” “Exercise and Metabolism,” “Carcinogenesis Mechanism,” “Hibernation and Metabolism,” “Aging and Metabolism,” “Cancer and Amino Acid Metabolism,” and “Leukemia and Metabolism,” there will be poster sessions, open call sessions, and young researchers' sessions. Furthermore, there will also be “Poster Sessions,” “Open Call Sessions,” and “Young Scientists Sessions.” Kusatsu Onsen ranks among the three most famous hot springs in Japan, alongside Arima Onsen in Hyogo Prefecture and Gero Onsen in Gifu Prefecture. It is distinguished by its high-temperature acidic and sulfuric (hydrogen sulfide type) springs, which feature the highest natural flow rate in Japan. However, I believe that many researchers might not have had the chance to visit this hot spring. We hope you will enhance your interactions at this hot spring resort, celebrated for having one of the highest temperatures in Japan, and that you'll enjoy vibrant discussions. We genuinely look forward to your participation, whether you are an undergraduate student, a graduate student, a researcher, or a basic or clinical researcher! Executive Committee Chair |
