- Regulatory mechanism of energy metabolism in vivo by hypoxia response
- Regulation of in vivo energy metabolism by sulfur metabolites
- Mechanisms of production/degradation of phospholipids/bioactive lipids and their functions in vivo
- Mechanism of cellular senescence induced by cellular metabolism
- Identification of cancer cell-specific metabolic systems and search for therapeutic targets
- Elucidation of molecular mechanisms of cellular pathophysiological events by proteome and metabolome (including lipidome) analysis using mass spectrometry

What's new?
2026/03/24. M.D.-Ph D. course student Miho has graduated and will now begin her
residency.
2026/02/28. Dr. Ohshima was awarded the best teacher award for 2025.
2025/10/01. Professor Obinata, who was previously an associate professor at our lab,
has been appointed as a professor at the Core
Facility Management and Technical Collaboration Center (CoMTeCC).
This organization strategically manages and utilizes shared equipment and research infrastructure to support the
advancement of research and the development of new fields. It is a newly established university-wide research
enhancement hub that aims to enhance research capabilities both within and outside the university, and to
contribute to society.
From May 28 to May 30, 2025, we hosted the 11th Cancer and
Metabolism Meeting at the Kusatsu hot springs.
04/20/2025. Honored to share that my graduate student has been awarded the Rotary Yoneyama
Scholarship.
On April 1, 2025, Dr. Konishi, a dedicated senior assistant professor with significant
contributions to research and education, was appointed as a professor of Biochemistry at Dokkyo Medical College.
Congratulations!
D2 Bulgan was awarded Otsuka Toshimi Scholarship Foundation 2024, and D2 Junki
has been selected as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow 2025 (DC2).
